DSM Shifter Base & Cable Bushings Kit (V2)

Does your shifter feel a little sloppy? Maybe it's because of the garbage stock rubber shifter base bushings. Maybe it's because of a sloppy shifter linkage. Fear no more! This is a kit to replace the 4 shifter base bushings and two cable bushings in the interior shifter of a 91-99 DSM.

These bushings seriously work. There is even an accompanying video to show improvements in the shifter. This kit comes with 4 shifter base bushings (which come in 8 pieces, 2 for each mounting point). It comes with 3 bushings for the shifter cables. Two are utilized together for the throw cable, and 1 is utilized for the side-to-side cable. The kit also includes 4 extra bushing-washers. I made two to help reduce some of the play in my short throw shifter. Otherwise, they are just extra bushings to use elsewhere. 

V2 comes is the addition of a spring bushing, which helps stiffen up the movements through neutral.

V2 also comes with a material upgrade. The material is 95A TPU, and only comes in black. For those who don't know, it's similar to polyurethane. It's stiff, but still elastic. Have no fear about breaking. I am unable to break one of these bushings by pulling them apart. Feel free to test the elongation and squishy-ness on the extra washers. You think those are strong? The cable and base bushings are multitudes stronger and stiffer. You'll be able to tell.

Notes:

They only come in black now! Not in red. It's a material upgrade for V2.

The shifter base bushings utilize the stock metal sleeve in the stock rubber bushings. Just slip it out of the stock ones, and slip it into the new ones. Let me know if you don't have these sleeves, I can make the design base bushings without the sleeves. It's better with a sleeve, but the bushings alone could handle it.
